How do I connect an entertainment system subwoofer to my computer?

Question by jesse: How do I connect an entertainment system subwoofer to my computer?
I just got a sub that is supposed to hook up to an entertainment system and has its own power supply(plugs into the wall). I was wondering if anyone knew how I could hook it up to my computer. It has two ports for the little red and white AV connections but I don’t have any cable to go with it.

You will have to plug the sub into the computer through the audio output. I’d be very careful to do this, for it’s likely to do a bit of damage to the computer.

If you want a sub and speaker set up on your computer, I’d be more inclined to go to Best Buy and purchase a 3 piece set that is meant to be used on a computer.

If it’s meant for an audio system, I’d leave it to what it’s meant for. I almost possitive that the computers sound card doesn’t accept something like this kindly.
